March 2008 - Hal speaks at CHS "Every 15 Minutes" program
April 26, 2008 - Hal speaks at our first annual "Be Perfect Fundraiser", raising over $250,000 toward Spinal Chord Injury Recovery. The event drew over 700 attendees and was held at the Hafif Estates in Claremont. Some of the items up for auction wer a signed guitar by country legend, Toby Keith and an autographed football by Pete Carroll and Matt Leinart of USC Trojans. There was dinner, dancing and an emotional presentation by Lil' Hal. Thank you to everyone who attended, our sponsors, and all who donated.

June 2008 - Hal and Committee members attend Rise Above Tour send off for Aarron Baker. Aaron a SCI 9 years post wo was not suppose to walk again rode his bike from Santa Monica to Washington DC bringing awareness to exercise base recovery in spinal cord injuries.The Be Perfect Foundation and Core(Aaarons Foundation)are working on many SCI agend.a together.
September 2008 - The Be Perfect Foundation and Hal presents Project Walk with a new upper extremity unit from Restorative machine.This $7500 machine will continue to aid SCI Clients at PW for years to come.
September 2008 - The Claremont Club/Casa Colina and Be Perfect open the SCI center at The Club to all SCI Clients.This collaboration will serve the SCI community in giving wellness and fitness recovery to SCI victims in there last stages of Recovery.
September 2008 - City of Claremont gives foundation "Claremont City Hero" award
October 2008 - Hal spoke to 150 people at Costco Distribution Center and raised $15,000.00 for The
Be Perfect Foundation. Many thanks to Costco for this huge donation!!
October 2008 - Hal is a guest on a Hunting with The Pros starring Kevin Gross.The hunt took place in Northern Michigan..It was filmed and aired on the Pursuit Channel during the month of December and gave awesome exposure for the Foundation.The show featured an opening where Hal explained the mission statement of the Foundation and demonstrated that despite Hal’s injury he can do just about anything with a little help.
November 2008 - Be Perfect Committee members and Hal make a visit to the Reeve-Irvine Stem Cell Center.Hal visits with Dr Hans Kierstad and presents a donation check on behalf of the Foundation.Dr Kierstad and Be Perfect will have a supportive and informative future as stem cell advancements get closer.
November 2008 - Be Perfect committee members and Hal participate at Casa Colina Golf Tournament to benefit Outdoor Adventures program.
November 2008 - Be Perfect committee members and Hal deliver a new Wheelchair from Colours wheelchairs to the Hall Family.
December 2008 - Be Perfect Committee Members and Hal attend fundraiser golf tournament to aid Blake Browning.BP is sponsor.
December 2008 - Hal is featured speaker at Sycamore School on “Abilities Day”.He continues to inspire at all ages.
December 2008 - Hal is guest of Matt Lienert at his house and game.The were able to share ideas and thoughts on their Foundations and how they are both giving something back.
December 2008 - Be Perfect Committee Members adopt (3) families.Along with huge contributions from The Claremont Club,Costco and individuals Hal gets to play Santa Claus in making the Holidays a little easier in 2008.Huge thanks to all that help and contributed.We should have had reindeer pulling Hals wheelchair!
January 2009 - Hal is the opening speaker at a Fundraising dinner in Thibodaux,Louisiana.This Fundraiser is for a fellow SCI friend who is raising money to return to Project Walk.
January 2009 - Over 25 Clients have been sponsored by BP in Recovery.(5) wheelchair purchases, SCI Center opened,equipment donated,etc. Not bad for 12 months of work!!!!!
January 2009 - Students from Pomona Pitzer and Claremont McKenna College hold a fundraising event at a rivalry basketball game to help raise close to $500 for the foundation.
February 2009 - Hal accepts Humanitarium Award from PDCA on behalf of the foundation.
March 2009 - Members of the KAPPA DELTA fraternity and a tri-frat organization at the Claremont Colleges hold a week of fundraising on campus for the foundation which included a pub night and a tri-frat party at the Greek Theater (raised close to $900).
May 30, 2009 - "The Be Perfect Foundation" 2nd Annual Fundraiser
August 2009 - Hal, his Mom and Cherie issue Hans Keirstead in support of the Stem Cell Research advancements with the Christopher Reeves Foundation.
October 2009 - Hal speaks to two high school psychology classes, as well as two Health classes.
-Hal also spoke to the CHS Football Team.
-Hal and Raven Hall speak to 500 Costco Distribution Center employees through their annual holiday giving through United Ways Organization. They spoke on awareness of SCI in the spirit of raising money through the holidays.
November 2009 - Hal speaks at Vista Elementary School Career Day to kids on what running a foundation is like, and raising money for others in need.
December 2009 - Hal speaks at Sycamore Elementary School Abilities Awareness Day to kids on having an ability not a disability. The ability on what its like to still be able to help others after a SCI through the foundation and what coping with SCI is like.
