To all our Friends and Family,
Last we sent out an update/thank you was over 5 weeks ago. Alot has and has not taken place in that time.
First of all Lori, Hailey, Corey, Bella and I are still blown away, everyday, of the Love and Support that continues to flow towards Lil Hal – The visitors, phone calls, emails, cards, flowers, meals, etc just keep coming
One of the frustration points for Lori and me is finding a way to express our gratitude and thanks to all in a timely fashion. Not easy to do with all that has been showered upon our Family in these last 47 days. I do need to mention a few that are just way over the top.
Kristen – you are Lil Hal's smile. He feeds off of you for energy, strength and of course a good kiss.
Dave, Patti, Tamara, Jack, Christina, Deserae, Daniel, Connor, Ariel – Everyday, without fail.
Claremont Police Department (Paul Cooper and Steve Valvo (Helicopter)) – what a tribute for Lil Hal's Birthday. An indicator of what type of Community Lil Hal has been raise in.
Claremont Club (Mike Alpert) – I cannot believe your generosity towards our Family. Lil Hal looks forward to setting new goals and obtaining them in the facility where he surpassed so many milestones in his Teenage Years. The Club truly is Lil Hal's "Wellness" Center.
Johnson Family – your sacrifices as a family to extend a hand and shoulder has been a true model to Lori and I. Lil Hal's accident truly changed your immediate Family and your unselfishness has been amazing. Kristen if you are reading this do your homework!!
Kayla – I know you are not leaving us, but your drive and energy will be missed. The thought of you one day raising your own children excites Lori and I, but until then please consider Hailey, Corey, and Bella your own as that is how you treated and cared for them in these last 6 weeks. Too much!
The Goodwin's – The old phrase of "God works in mysterious ways" has to play a part in our meeting. The road ahead for both boys will be nothing less than an uphill climb. Louis and Terri you have kept Lori and I close to our faith and hope that they will ascend and achieve what most have said is out of their hands.
Brian – The friendship that has been brought to and Lil Hal will never be severed. I think both of you boy's demonstrated to each other what it is like to be blessed with so many caring and great friends.
To all that continue to brings meals – There are too many to list here, but we have tried to let Debbie and Lisa know to stop the meal train only to get told "Keep Enjoying". Thank You Thank You.
Greg and Tom – Thanks for the balance and letting me be myself when needed.
Kenny – I know what a change this is for you and it does not go unrecognized. Rack up those Rapid Rewards. Thank you.
Casa Colina starting with Dr Levorso – You are truly a Visionary. Hal's care has been exceptional and this is due to your incredible Staff and tranquil facility. Your incredibly busy schedule and yet you seem to always take that few minutes to show your Patients what Casa is all about at the end of each day.
Jorge, Priscilla, Emilio, Kathy, Marco, Charity, Claire, and Dr Patterson – you have gone over and above what Lori and I ever expected in Lil Hals' care. Each day we are blessed to have such an awesome Team taking care of Hal. Misch and the Scaratelli's Lil Hal has come to count on you to bring a smile and a kiss to the cheek.
In closing, the Hargrave Family is indebted to all that has supported in so many ways over these last 47 days. We guarantee you one thing, and that is not 1 meal, phone call, email, card, visit, favor, etc ever goes unnoticed. We have been surrounded by the most wonderful friends and family that we could ever have been blessed with in this lifetime!!
Our HOPE is that in the not so distant future that Lil Hal can personally Thank each and every one of you by STANDING and WALKING towards you with arms extended and giving the warmest and strongest HUG that all of you are owed.
